The IT Service Desk is the first port of call for our customers in both Kent and Essex Police, receiving on average of 400 calls a day.  This is a very busy team with excellent job satisfaction, playing a key role within IT Services and in the delivery of supporting our front line staff. 

 

We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual with the aptitude to learn to deliver a high quality customer service, maximising the effective use of systems and minimising the impact of service disruption for staff within Kent Police, Essex Police and other organisations with a contracted service provision.  Good communication and interpersonal skills, accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

 

It is desirable that candidates have an appreciation of IT technologies including MS Office and MS Outlook.

 

After training you will then support the IT Department by providing a high quality 1st line technical support and maintenance service to Kent and Essex Police. You will be able to identify, prioritise and allocate Incidents and Requests to relevant internal and external support teams.  This will include our IT equipment, systems, services, installed applications, collaboration and management of software.  You will also be key in supporting design, development, testing and implementation activity.

 

This role will be based at Chelmsford Essex Police Headquarters.
