This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of our work to attract, assess and recruit Police Officers and Police Staff for both Kent Police & Essex Police. You will support all stages of the recruitment and selection process, including maintaining accurate computerised records, helping plan and deliver assessment centres, and ensuring recruitment activity is carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
This role also involves close teamwork; not only within the Recruitment Team, but also through regular collaboration with colleagues across other internal departments, hiring managers, and Commands. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate experience in an administrative role and who are educated to GCSE level (or equivalent). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential, and experience using HR systems, such as SAP would be an advantage.
Ideally, you will also bring experience of large-scale recruitment processes or of organising outreach events aimed at attracting potential applicants. Excellent communication skills are vital, as you will regularly update managers, internal and external assessors, and candidates throughout each stage of the recruitment cycle.
The successful candidate will be self‑motivated, adaptable, highly organised, and able to manage their workload independently, while also contributing positively within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
This is primarily a Monday to Friday role, covering the hours of 08:00-17:00 on a rota basis, however, some evening and weekend working will be required. There may also be occasional travel to Kent as part of our collaborative recruitment function.
