The IT Services Programme Delivery team are looking for a Small Works Project Manager to support the Senior Project Manager on the delivery of the new Contact Management Salesforce solution for Victim Journey, National MyPolice Portal and Customer Relationship Management systems over a two-year period. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of cutting-edge technology to improve how victims of crime are supported, both locally and nationally.
This programme is going to offer the Small Works IT Project Manager a challenging role, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to manage IT business enabling project workstreams within the Contact Management Technology Programme. Kent Police and Essex Police therefore require a resilient and organised individual with experience of delivering change into the organisation. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and will manage and co-ordinate the project workstreams alongside the Senior Project Manager.

- Examples of managing budgets ensuring that forecasts and actuals are accurately recorded, and exceptions reported
- Experience of delivering systems from initiation to delivery
- Instances of taking personal responsibility for your own workload and prioritising tasks to be completed by both you and others
- Risk, issue management and Problem Solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Please tell us if you have any understanding or knowledge of the following. These are not essential, yet highly desirable, and lack of experience should not prevent you applying:
- Experience and knowledge of dealing with stakeholders of all levels
- Possession of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation and Prince 2 Foundation / Practitioner
At shortlisting, we will be looking for essential evidence of knowledge of police environment and policy project management and risk management. In addition, it would be helpful if you could evidence experience of managing organisational change or ICT systems implementation and Business Planning. A Prince 2 Foundation qualification is preferred but not essential.
The role will be primarily Agile home worker based, with some travel potentially required between Kent and Essex for meetings which will be covered by force mileage.

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £45,591.00.
