An exciting opportunity has become available for a driven and dedicated administrator with a strong eye for detail and proven experience in commercial property compliance and/or commercial property support.  We are looking for an experienced Administrative Officer to join our Estate & Facilities Services team, to play a vital role in ensuring our estate remains fully compliant with legislative, regulatory and policy requirements, and receives high-quality administrative support. 

 

The main duties will include: 

  • Supporting the Compliance & Governance Manager with key oversight and data management of the Force’s statutory compliance within Estate & Facilities Services. Including recording, tracking and reporting progress and performance against targets. 
  • Contractor Management of site access across the county, managing shared email accounts to ensure our Contractors, Staff and visitors remain safe and accountable whilst on force premises. 
  • Reviewing and updating policies and SOPs/processes to ensure documentation remains accurate, current and aligned to operational need.
  • Monitoring, maintaining and updating the departmental risk register, escalating significant risks where required.
  • Managing departmental databases and document libraries, ensuring accuracy, consistency and clear audit trails.
  • Effective communication, including updating intranet pages, managing enquiries and ensuring colleagues across the Force remain informed of developments that may affect their areas.
  • Providing proactive, high quality administrative support to the estates team.

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: 

  • Competence and strong confidence in using Microsoft Office applications. Additional business analytical software is a plus.
  • Tenacity, ownership, proactivity and problem solving skills, in delivering high quality administrative support. 
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills and attention to detail, including data reporting and planning.
  • Understanding of the general principles of compliance in an Estate setting.
  • Ability to work and communicate collaboratively across teams and functions.
  • Awareness of the basic principles of Health & Safety. 

 

This role requires regular office attendance of at least once a week and covers Wednesday, Thursday and Friday working days. This role may require travel to/working from other locations within the County on occasion.

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £31,731.00.
