We are particularly looking for individuals who can demonstrate the following:
- A high level of standards, tact, discretion and diplomacy (whether this be verbally or in writing) acting as the Chief Officers’ representative, and in line with the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Behaviour.
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills, in order to identify and resolve commitment conflicts, provide options, recommendations and solutions, to facilitate the efficient and effective operation of commitments for the Chief Officers.
- An ability to assimilate information quickly and accurately (in line with MOPI and Information Security guidelines), and work with others where appropriate to identify potential risks and solve problems proactively in relation to diary management, receipt of information or conflicting priorities.
- A very high level of office planning and organisational skills, and to be conversant with all key office technology such as Outlook and Microsoft applications such as Teams and SharePoint.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, showing emotional awareness for others, particularly when dealing with a variety of sensitive and confidential information.
Interested applicants should request an online appointment with PSE Caroline Stevens (Executive Manager – caroline.stevens@kent.police.uk) to talk through the role and expectations in more detail.
In your application, you are required to provide evidence of the following:
- Proven experience providing senior-level administrative support or similar, including diary management, correspondence and meeting coordination.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build effective relationships and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrable ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, diplomacy and sound judgement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams and SharePoint, with the ability to use technology effectively to support business operations.
