The Police and Crime Commissioner for Kent, Matthew Scott, wants to expand and improve his presence, and that of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, across all forms of social media and through his website.

 

He is seeking a confident, well-organised individual, who is a skilful communicator in all situations, both with the public and with colleagues.  You will be expected to use these skills to assist with arranging, promoting and attending events with key stakeholders.

 

You will have a proven track record of effective on-line editing skills, the ability to use content management systems as well as being able to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.  You will be comfortable drafting copy for a range of channels, and an excellent standard of written English is vital. 

 

Your work will be split between home, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner in Maidstone, and events across the county. 

 

This role is subject to vetting, and is also ‘politically restricted’ as per the Local Government and Housing Act 1989.
