An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Performance Analyst within the Central Analytical Team. If you have previous experience in a statistical and performance management environment and are passionate about supporting improvements for the public through data insights, then this could be the role for you.

 

As a performance analyst you will collect, organise, cleanse, and interpret data to find meaningful and actionable insights. You must be able to identify and apply the most appropriate analytical techniques to bring different data sources together, interpret requirements and be able to present, communicate and disseminates analysis and recommendations effectively and appropriately to a range of audiences.

 

You will also deliver statistical performance products to support strategic change, proactively interrogate a wide range of data sources to assist the force in meeting statutory data requirements and make recommendations as and when required to continuously improve data collection methods, data quality and statistical analysis.

 

You will be required to develop and sustain effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external customers and present to audiences at the appropriate level to senior staff and officers across the force, to ensure they are kept updated on areas of risk.

 

This is a challenging role that requires you to:

 

  • Have a minimum of a math-based A level or equivalent with statistical experience, or proven and well-evidenced, relevant experience in an analytical environment.
  • Data driven mind set with strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You will have advanced IT skills which will include Microsoft Office 365 and previous experience of designing and developing Data Dashboards.
  • You will have outstanding communication skills to deliver presentations to a wide-ranging audience, write reports and present data in an appropriate format.
  • You should be motivated, resilient, and organised with the ability to work independently whilst remaining part of a wider analytical community and prioritise your own workload.
  • You will have an eye for detail, are inquisitive and, above all, will need to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Previous experience collaborating with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to model and deliver large data sets and analytical report and working with multiple data visualisation tools and techniques including Advanced Excel, SQL, PowerBI and other programming languages would be advantageous but not essential.

 

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £36,213.00.
